In Korea with Norm Christie

A War of Patrols
Air Date:
Details: The series concludes as Norm details the war's descent into stalemate. As both sides consolidated their positions, troops experienced a life similar to the soldiers of World War One - trenches, outposts, and daily patrols. Norm returns to the demilitarized zone to examine Canada's role in the retaking of a key position called "The Hook". We meet veteran Terry Meagher of the Royal Canadian Regiment, who explains the anatomy of a patrol in no-man's-land. The episode culminates with Norm and Terry revisiting the location of Canada's final major action of the war - the defense of Hill 187 in May, 1953.
In Korea with Norm Christie documents the acclaimed historian’s journey to uncover the story of Canadian participation in the Korean War.
